We are extremely frustrated with the response from DR Horton and their response with our issue. The narrative appears to change frequently with these salespeople, who then deflect to “corporate.” We walked from both opportunities, soured by the sleezy sales tactics of this company. At first she told our Realtor that the lower price was never the price of the lot, then she said that “corporate” raised the prices, but the was the first raise since March – as if that would make us feel better. The salesperson gave us a window of three hours (on a workday) to place an offer and then – when she had no offers – she extended it to 1 p.m. The lot was released a week later at a price that was $5,000 more than she originally told us. Again, we got prequalified as she suggested.

The second was at the Enclave at Baker’s Farm, also in Hoschton, where the salesperson gave us a price on a home/lot but told us we couldn’t purchase it until the company released the lot. Of course, those incentives changed after we got prequalified on a mortgage, which requires a hard pull on your credit. The first was in March when the salesperson at Twin Lakes in Hocshton, GA informed us of incentives that seemingly changed on a dime. We’ve had two exasperating experiences with DR Horton.
